Thanks so much, you've taken a lot of the guesswork out of this for me. I like the tape back-up too, I guess I'm old school that way. I just can't bring myself to relying solely on electronics. It seems you do put together quite a nice production.
Thanks again,
Bryan

Thanks. We are Sony people. Our event cameras are Sony V1Us. We have been very pleased with the performance of this camera. We use flash cards with mini-DV tapes as backups. We shoot our events on the Eastern Shore of Maryland as well as Delaware (weddings, concerts, dance recitals, etc.) with at least three cameras, sometimes four. There are two of us manning the cameras. We believe it is especially important to have a tape backup with events, since you can't stop everything and ask them to start over! Most of the newer pro cameras seem to be getting away from tape, however. Hope this helps.

Your resolution is incredible for an indoor shoot. Can I ask what kind of camera you use to get such great quality. I do some short amateur shooting (beach events such as Delmarva bike-week & Indoor Convention Center Festivals) for my website and need to upgrade my camera. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
