With rain threatening all day, we were very happy to be able to avoid the raindrops at yesterday’s wedding. We actually got to do some taping outside on an old ferry boat pier at Matapeake State Park on the Chesapeake Bay!
Father Jennings at St. Christopher’s on Kent Island did a wonderful ceremony, as always, and the recently renovated St. Christopher’s is absolutely beautiful.
The wedding reception was held at the Kent Island Yacht Club. The staff did a great job with the appetizers and dinner. Leo and Sherrie at DJ Connection played a nice combination of oldies and top 40 to make the reception quite a lively party. We used our new LED camera lights for the first time, and are very pleased with the results. All in all a successful day. Kiri and Kevin were a beautiful couple and we were so pleased to be able to do their wedding.
The cake topper was Frankenstein’s Monster and his bride, which is significant because Kiri and Kevin met at a Halloween party. (Kiri is a teacher at Kent County High School outside of Chestertown, Maryland and Kevin is a policeman in Annapolis.)
The cake was made by a close friend of the family’s, so you know it was really good. We overheard the bride’s mom Toni say that it contained over 5 1/2 pounds of strawberries and even more TLC!
As soon as we get the video done, we will post some clips.

I’ve been meaning to call all day. The pictures look great! You missed a great sale at American Corners on Thursday. Thought we might see you and the cousins there.

Beautiful pix for a beautiful couple. The cake topper will have to be enclosed in a shadow box for display–what a conversation starter.
