New Video on Our Website!/Easton, MD Videographer

After much nagging, Case has finally put one of our demo reels on our website. It is a short selection of some of our recent weddings, as well as some of our favorites from 2008. We showed this video at a recent bridal show. There are clips from weddings at Baywood Greens (Katey and Kevin), Pintail Point, Cambridge Yacht Club (Mike and Kelly), the United States Naval Academy(Sam and Timothy) and Deerfield in Newark, Delaware (Mona and Michael). We would be happy to share the full videos. Just give us a call.

Congratulations to Andrew Nock Photography!

Congratulatons to Andrew and Kim Nock for their award-winning photography! Last night, Andy won “Best in Show” at the Delaware Professional Photographers’ Association”, plus other awards. See his winning photos on their blog. The best in show photo is particularly special to us since we were the videographers for that wedding. (Check out our blog entry for Kristina and Garrett .)

Anyway, kudos to the Nocks for a job well done.

Snaptotes Dealer / Delmarva Videographer

The Waterview Room at the Easton Club / Easton MD Videographer

The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting and mixer at the new Waterview Room at the Easton Club this past week. The new facility, formerly an outdoor pavilion, is now a year-round facility on the Tred Avon River. Sliding doors open to a beautiful view of the river, giving you the feeling you are outdoors. Kari Rider, the Events Coordinator for the Easton Club, told me they can accommodate 160 guests, even with the dance floor. As videographers, we are excited at the prospects of taping a wedding and reception at this beautiful waterfront facility. As a bonus, the food and service are always wonderful at the Easton Club. Congratulations to Kari and the Easton Club for their new facility on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Weddings at The Tidewater Inn/Easton MD Videographer

The owners of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club are buying Easton’s Tidewater Inn. This is wonderful news. The new owners are expected to restore the Inn, and hopefully attract more weddings. Settlement on the property is October 12.

When we first started taping weddings in 1990, we covered many weddings at the Tidewater Inn. We are looking forward to seeing the Tidewater re-establish itself as the premier wedding venue in Easton, Maryland. This is great news for prospective brides and all wedding professionals. The Inn is conveniently located in downtown Easton.

Since we can only do one wedding a day, a bride may be disappointed that our services are unavailable for her date. While not a substitute for our beautiful wedding films, we are offering an alternative. Please call us for more information and for pricing (410-822-9010.)

We are also able to produce photo montages, love stories, and “bridal elegance” videos for clients, even if we are unable to shoot their weddings.

Nasty trojan virus eradicated from our website and blog.

We are very happy to say that our website and blog are back online. Around the middle of June, both were infected by a trojan virus, and we were caught very much unaware and unprepared to deal with it. So, we took our sites down to protect potential viewers from having their personal computers infected.

Unfortunately, the timing was bad. We had been swamped with work, both catch up work and new projects, and fixing the problems with our website and blog had to take the back seat to satisfying the needs of our customers. Early this week, we took the time to attack the situation, and we believe that the website and blog are both healthy again. Moreover, some of the measures we have taken should make future infections much less likely.

Please let us know immediately if you suspect any problems. We are much smarter now than we were before, but our viewers may still be the first ones to suspect any problems that might arise. Also, let’s be realistic. The perpetrators are determined, and someday it could happen again.

Our daughter graduated this past weekend (with honors, I might add) from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. We spent the weekend in Blacksburg attending the ceremonies and moving her out of her apartment. Although we are very proud of her, we are a little sad because Tech was a great place for her as well as a great place for us to visit. She will be starting her career with IBM in Fairfax, VA later this summer. (We apologize to all who had requested us to be videographers for their weddings and dance recitals, but this was one weekend which was not negotiable.) Let’s go Hokies!!!

Showcase at Kirkland Manor/Delmarva Videographer

In spite of the cool drizzle today, the showcase was wonderful. The fashion shows with dresses by Francesca’s Bridals , Bella Bridesmaid and New Couture were lovely, and the four course luncheon was great (which we were fortunate to be able to enjoy with the brides and guests). Seasonal Flowers provided the flowers for the tables and the tent, and Swan Cove decorated the manor house. Spectacular!

We will be producing a video of the showcase’s highlights soon. We will keep you posted.

Marathon Video & Photo Shoot at Kirkland Manor/Easton MD Videographer

Yesterday, in spite of the chilly weather, we had a great day at Kirkland Manor. Case and I shot a bridal elegance video with Erin Wiggins (click HERE to view video) and a love story with Ashlie and Lee .

Andy and Kim of Andrew Nock Photography shot senior portraits, bridal portraits, and engagement portraits. (Special thanks to: Debbie Bridges at Swan Cove Flowers for the gorgeous bouquet; Ashlie Cohee and Lee Neild ; and especially Erin Wiggins for braving the chilly weather in her beautiful wedding gown.)

Wedding planner Maryann Judy of Ambiance~Distinctive Weddings and Events with her associate Kasey Messick, and Angela Eade-Spence from Tidewater Weddings / Tidewater Vacations rounded out the team.

Kirkland Manor will be showcased on May 3, from noon until 4:00 pm with the premier bridal show of the year. The best wedding professionals will be there to help brides plan their weddings. Tickets are limited, so reserve your tickets at http://www.tidewaterwedding.com/bridalshowcase.htm .
