February was a very interesting month for us. We had a wedding at Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, Delaware on 02/22. In spite of the cold weather, the affair was beautiful. The ceremony and reception were both held in the ballroom. Michael and Kate (who met at the Y.M.C.A in Salisbury, Maryland), were a great couple to work with. Melody Adkins was the wedding coordinator and did a lovely job.

The most interesting event of the month, however, occurred on 02/09. While I was meeting with a client in the studio, Case took a call about 3 o’clock for a wedding–for 02/10/09–the next day! Derek was working for a contractor in Kuwait, Anastasija was from Russia, and before he went back to Kuwait they wanted to be married so she could join him in Kuwait. They had started planning the wedding on 02/05.

We had never done a wedding with a booking time of less than 24 hours. However, it was lovely. The ceremony and reception took place at Wye Branch Manor in Centreville, Maryland. Derek’s dad officiated the ceremony and Anastasija had some Russian traditions which were incorporated (e.g., having a toast and then breaking the champagne glasses). The weather was a balmy 65 degrees, so we got some great footage outside.

They went to Las Vegas for their honeymoon. When we get the video done, we will post some clips.
